Educational and Vocational Training

Nepal is an agriculture-biased country, with agriculture serving as the majority's primary source of food, income, and employment. Approximately 88% of the population lives in rural areas and relies on agriculture for a living. Shelter Ashraya Nepal promotes vocational training, education, and professional development. We support innovative agricultural training approaches like work-based learning and encourage collaboration between the public and private sectors. Farmers stopped farming, young people migrated to cities, and farming gradually became an unprofitable business. For this sanctuary, Shelter Ashraya Nepal is helping to develop the skills of farmers in all aspects of agriculture so that, through various skills-based programs, they replace traditional, time-consuming, and expensive methods with scientific, modern, and economical methods that are efficient.
